Callington Playground Renewal
More development at Callington Recreation Park…
A new Pump Track has been installed by the Mount Barker Council with funding support from Murray Bridge Council. Great for riders of scooters & skateboards.
Simon Lambe, one of the school parents, is adding a dirt BMX track to join on to the pump track.
Simon, Rob Fletcher & Simon Dower (school parents) are giving free weekly lessons on Thursdays from 3.30pm to 5.30pm (all have SA Working With Children certificates). Parents/caregivers of participants must to attend. Helmets & own equipment required at this stage. This is not a child-minding service. The aim is to encourage kids to be more active & healthy.
The court will be resurfaced, fenced & new basketball & netball goals added. It can also be used for skate-boarding or roller blading practice.
The netball shed will be cleaned up and used as a base for a BMX Club.
Rotary Murray Bridge have installed a new Buddy Bench.
Simon will be asking the local community to help in the building of the dirt track & the clean-up. Please support him if you can.
Please keep children out of the construction zone – marked with bunting.
Thanks.
