Callington is a small town on the eastern slopes of the Adelaide Hills, 53 kms south-east of Adelaide, in South Australia. Callington is on the Bremer River, adjacent to the South Eastern Freeway.
The Callington Recreation Community Centre is a not-for-profit sports, recreation and community focused complex.

The main Callington oval was established about 1956. To raise funds to buy the land a boxing match was held. A second oval was added in 40 years later, with the first game being played on 6th January, 1996.
Many community members joined forces to build a club room. This was replaced many years later by a new multi-function club room / community centre which opened in 2021. In 2025 new oval lights were added.
